Her Vision

The Sandra M. Cameron Foundation was founded to honor the life and legacy of Sandra Cameron, a Jamaican immigrant who dedicated her life to uplifting the West Palm Beach community. Inspired by her work with Second Start Inc., a nonprofit she created to help homeless individuals and families, our foundation is committed to continuing her mission of compassion, service, and empowerment.

Our vision is to support Black women in entrepreneurship by providing resources, mentorship, and opportunities to help them build successful businesses. Additionally, we aim to serve the broader West Palm Beach community through seasonal clothing drives and holiday toy giveaways, ensuring that families in need have access to essential resources. By fostering empowerment and community care, we are dedicated to carrying Sandra Cameron’s legacy forward, creating a brighter and more equitable future for all.

Her Honor

Sandra Cameron’s journey is one of resilience, determination, and selfless service. Born and raised in Jamaica, Sandra moved to West Palm Beach in the late 1980s, seeking greater opportunities for herself and her family. With unshakable ambition, she went on to establish multiple successful businesses, each embodying her entrepreneurial spirit and her passion for community upliftment. Among her ventures, Sandra founded a nonprofit dedicated to helping the homeless and clothing those in need, a mission that has transformed countless lives and inspired many to give back.

Sandra’s unwavering dedication to service earned her recognition at the 128th Annual Giraffe Awards, an honor celebrating women who “stick their necks out” for others. Her efforts have left an indelible mark on West Palm Beach and beyond. In late 2023, Sandra was diagnosed with ALS, a challenge she faces with the same grace and courage that have defined her life. Today, she continues to inspire others by sharing her story and advocating for compassion and community care, leaving a legacy of hope and resilience.
